Devin Weiss RYT 200
Devin started his spiritual journey at 14 after the sudden loss of a loved one. This led him to search for answers and he eventually stumbled upon Buddhism and yoga during his seeking. In the middle of his Junior year of college, Devin left school and went to Karmatriyanadharmachakra (KTD) in Woodstock, New York to live and work. At that time, he was studying Eastern philosophy and religion and wanted to practice. He was determined to make meditation a habit and established his practice at KTD. After 8 months, he was ready to dive even deeper and did a one year residential Zen training at the Zen Mountain Monastery in Mt. Tremper. During this time, he was tough on his body and was sitting a lot for meditation. He is now in a stage where he knows to be gentle with his body and prepare it for meditation. He was looking for a teacher training for a while and resonated with Eoin Finn and the Blissology school of Yoga where nature and community are integral to the practice. Devin did his training in Santa Cruz and became a certified 200 hr yoga teacher in Bali, Indonesia. Devin holds his B.A. in Mind/Body Transformational Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO.
Devin's classes are fairly rigorous but light-hearted with some laughs sprinkled in! His classes provide students with an experience that includes crystal bowl sound healing and a deep savasana. His teachings remind students that the body is their guide and that he is simply sharing. He encourages deep body listening and taking care of the body during the practice.
